Claremore is brimming with delicious eateries, from local flavors to nationwide chains.

Here is your guide to a few of our local favorites.

BUDDY’S GRILL

Buddy’s Grill is located on the original strip of Route 66, now known as J.M. Davis Boulevard. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Buddy’s is famous for barbecue, Southern favorites, and huge burgers. Local tip: the waffles are among the best in town; syrup is optional.

EGGBERT’S

Eggbert’s has been serving Claremore folks since . . . well, for as long as we can remember. Breakfast items like the Sunriser Skillet and Sausage Scrambler are available all day. If you’re unsure what to order, check out the daily lunch and dinner specials. You can always count on Eggbert’s for a delicious cup o’ joe, too.

FRONT PORCH BAKERY

Drive a couple miles north on Route 66 and you’ll spot Front Porch Bakery. Recently named Oklahoma’s best independently owned bakery, Front Porch offers an assortment of fresh Amish goodies daily, plus a smokehouse that serves up delicious barbecue and both hot and cold sides. You can also pick up loaves of bread, the bakery’s famous cinnamon rolls, and whole pies.

HUGO’S FAMILY RESTAURANT

If you’re looking for breakfast with the largest portions in town, check out Hugo’s Family Restaurant, located on Archer Drive. Breakfast favorites include bacon, eggs, homemade biscuits and gravy, and Hugo’s famous potatoes. We guarantee you won’t leave hungry.

THE PINK HOUSE

The Pink House is a Claremore lunch staple. Originally located in a pink house, the restaurant relocated in 2017 to the historic Belvidere Mansion at 121 N. Chickasaw Ave., near historic downtown Claremore. Serving lunch Monday – Saturday, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., the Pink House is famous for daily quiche specials, chicken enchilada casserole, and baked fudge. Browse around the gift shop to take home a piece of Claremore history.

CLEVER FOX COFFEE

Clever Fox Coffee is located on Blue Starr Drive, just across from Hillcrest Hospital Claremore. Unique and delicious drinks are the specialty, with plenty of yummy options for those who don’t drink coffee. Be sure to pick up a rainbow bagel or a hot cinnamon roll to start your day off right. Try the Mermaid Lemonade or the Animal Cracker Frappe—your sweet tooth will thank you.

DUTCH BROTHERS

Claremore’s newest coffeehouse, Dutch Brothers offers customers coffee, blended drinks, iced or hot drinks, energy drinks, and more! Located on by Rogers State University at 1405 Will Rogers Blvd., Dutch Brothers provides customer a quick, easy drive thru location to meet all their beverage needs. The location is open seven days a week, starting at 5:00 a.m.

GREEN EYES COFFEE & CAFE

For your morning caffeine boost, visit Green Eyes Coffee & Cafe, located on Highway 20 in The Mark. Choose from a full menu of hot and cold beverages—from hot chocolate and chai latte to Americano and London Fog, plus a large selection of hot teas. Green Eyes serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Grab a bagel or a breakfast burrito to go, or sit and savor French toast with triple berry syrup. For lunch, try the chicken salad sandwich.

SHE BREWS

She Brews serves “coffee with a cause.” Owner Rhonda Bear created the concept to help females recently out of the prison system get back on their feet. Since opening in 2012, She Brews has helped many women find stable employment and rejoin their families successfully. With two locations in Claremore (and a third in Tulsa), She Brews serves an extensive menu of coffee drinks, as well as lunch and desserts. The original location is in downtown Claremore at 414 W. Will Rogers Blvd. (closed Sundays) and the south location is at 1601 Old Country Club Rd. (closed Sundays and Mondays).

STARBUCKS

While Claremore offers several local coffeehouses, there is also a familiar sight to be found on Route 66: Starbucks, everyone’s favorite Seattle coffee company. Known for its signature roasts, light bites, and free Wi-Fi, the popular coffee shop has a drive-thru and is conveniently located at 1100 S. Lynn Riggs Blvd.

BOOMARANG DINER

Boomarang Diner is a great option for a quick and tasty lunch. Enjoy the 50s-themed décor and atmosphere while waiting on your chicken fried steak sandwich or delicious cheeseburger.

CARL’S CONEY ISLAND

Located in NeMar Center on Will Rogers Boulevard, Carl’s Coney Island has been serving coneys, tamales, and chili since 1974. Open Monday – Friday, 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., and 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

DOT’S CAFE

For a fast, casual lunch downtown, try Dot’s Café, Claremore’s oldest cafe. Dot’s has only a few tables, but you can usually snag a stool at the bar. Family-owned, Dot’s serves a traditional breakfast all day, plus lunch until 2 p.m. Dinner is served on Thursdays until 8 p.m. From the Kids Kitty Chicken to the biscuits and gravy, Dot’s Southern home cooking can’t be beat. Closed Sundays.

GIBBY C’S SOUTH IN YOUR MOUTH

The Lilac District’s newest dining option, Gibby C’s offers guests mouthwatering Southern classics like gumbo, collard greens, shrimp plates, and frog legs.

HAMMETT HOUSE

Located near Will Rogers Memorial and Rogers State University, Hammett House has been serving Claremore since 1969, when the Hammett family opened it. In 1991, it was purchased by Linda and Bill Biard, who still operate the landmark restaurant today. The Biards still serve all of the staples that put Hammett House on the map, like the pamper-fried chicken, lamb and turkey fries, and LaNelle Hammett’s signature “Skinny Soup.” The restaurant offers a daily lunch special and, thanks to two Biard sons who are renowned chefs cooking all over the world, the menu is constantly being expanded with new dishes. Did we mention that Hammett House is home to the 10-pound pie? Daily offerings include German chocolate, buttermilk chess, sour cream raisin, and peanut butter chocolate chip. Whole pies are available for purchase. Closed Mondays.

J FARLEY’S

For American classics with an Irish twist, try local pub J Farley’s. Opened in 2018 to honor fallen Claremore firefighter Jason Farley, J Farley’s is co-owned by a 25-year veteran of the Claremore Fire Department. The menu includes popular items like the F-Train burger (a nod to Captain Farley’s nickname), which features jalapeños, grilled onions, pepper jack cheese, and strawberry habanero cream cheese. If you’re in the mood for a dish from “across the pond,” try the bangers and mash, chicken and cabbage, or shepherd’s pie. The pub is a popular neighborhood watering hole, with a patio and a full bar.

MAIN STREET TAVERN

Claremore is the second location for Main Street Tavern, which originated in Broken Arrow. MST offers a full bar as well as weekend brunch, lunch, and dinner. Home to Claremore’s largest outdoor patio, MST is a popular hangout with the local crowd. Popular menu items include fish & chips, meatloaf sliders, and the Big Frank burger. A private dining room and catering options are available. Main Street Tavern is conveniently located in historic downtown Claremore.

RON’S HAMBURGERS AND CHILI

Ron’s Hamburgers and Chili is always a good lunch stop if you’re in the mood for a traditional burger, fries and/or chili. The chicken is delicious, too, but you must try the cheese fries.

OKLAHOMA PIZZA COMPANY

Locally owned and operated, Oklahoma Pizza Company offers customers delicious handcrafted pizzas, sandwiches, salads and more. This new Claremore hotspot is one you will not want to miss on your visit through town!

EL AZTECA

El Azteca is a favorite with visitors and locals alike, especially because of its proximity to the Claremore Expo Center in the West Bend district. Locally owned and operated, El Azteca has been voted “Best of Claremore” numerous years running—for best tacos, best margaritas, and best dinner. A second location can be found north of town on Route 66.

EL BANQUETE

El Banquete on Will Rogers offers a higher-end twist on classic Mexican favorites. The shrimp and potato enchiladas are always a hit.

EL MAGUEY & EL CHARRO

If you’re on the south end of town, try El Maguey in The Market. They offer daily lunch specials, and on Wednesdays you can enjoy fajitas for two for just $14.99. El Charro, also located on the south end of town, offers delicious Mexican staples, a full bar, and a newly remodeled dining area and patio.

MEXICAN FOOD TRUCKS

For a fun food-truck experience, try La Hermosa across from Pixley Lumber, El Zacatecanas at the corner of Blue Starr and Lynn Riggs, and Taqueria Corona, located at Cedar Point Church, 1660 N. Lynn Riggs. Try their authentic street tacos and other Mexican favorites.

LOS AZTECAS

Staying at the La Quinta? Enjoy lunch or dinner at Los Aztecas. You can’t go wrong with OSU Fajitas or the Enchiladas Azteca.

TAQUERIA JALISCO

If you love street tacos, we have several options. Taqueria Jalisco, located at 1001 N. Owalla, serves Mexican favorites. You don’t want to miss Taco Tuesday.

DA VINCI’S

If you’re on the south side of town, Da Vinci’s in The Market offers traditional Italian cuisine. Find your favorites, like spaghetti and fettuccine Alfredo, along with other signature dishes and amazing Italian bread.

Francesco’s Italian Restaurant

If you’re on the west side of town, Francesco’s is across from the Claremore Expo Center and right down the hill from Rogers State University.  They offer excellent pizzas, baked pasta’s, chicken and veal, as well as subs, seafood and spaghetti!

OKLAHOMA PIZZA COMPANY

Locally owned and operated, Oklahoma Pizza Company offers customers delicious handcrafted pizzas, sandwiches, salads and more. This new Claremore hotspot is one you will not want to miss on your visit through town!

ASEAN DINER

Vietnamese eatery Asean Diner is a local favorite you’ll find in a small strip center on Blue Starr Drive. Asean Diner offers house specialties such as Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup and Gourmet Rice Vermicelli Bowls, and the shrimp fried rice is not to be missed. Closed Sundays.

ASIANA

If you’re in the mood for a full Chinese buffet, pay a visit to Asiana, located at 2096 S. Lynn Riggs Blvd. You can enjoy a host of Asian favorites. Closed Tuesdays.

NEW STAR

New Star serves all of your classic Chinese favorites, from General Tso’s Chicken to Egg Foo Young. The crab Rangoon and wonton egg drop soup are local favorites. New Star is located on Highway 20 near the Will Rogers Turnpike entrance. Closed Saturdays.

TOKYO JAPANESE STEAKHOUSE

Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse in NeMar Center is a great place for sushi. Open for lunch and dinner, Tokyo’s menu includes popular and signature sushi rolls, along with a traditional Bento box and hibachi options.

CABIN BOYS BREWERY

This taproom in Downtown Claremore has a 1BBL brewhouse, 20 draft beers, as well as wine, cider, and non-alcoholic options!  It is family friendly too!  Cabin Boys Brewery They are open Tuesday-Thursday from 4pm-10pm and Friday-Saturday from 12pm-11pm.

ROUTE 66 SPORTS BAR

For a traditional sports bar experience, try Route 66 Sports Bar, conveniently located next to Eggbert’s and the Will Rogers Inn at 936 S. Lynn Riggs. Grab a drink from the full bar and play pool, foosball, darts, or beer pong while enjoying live sporting events on 13 televisions.

THE NUT HOUSE

The Nut House is located just a few miles south of town on Route 66. With a full-service deli, an extensive gift shop, fresh fudge and, of course, nuts, The Nut House is a tourist’s dream stop. If you don’t have time to stop and browse, online ordering is available. The Nut House is located at 26677 S Highway 66, Unit A.

SWAN BROS. DAIRY

Swan Bros. Dairy has been serving Claremore since 1923. Still operated by the Swan family, the dairy offers fresh milk, cream, and cheese daily from its herd of cattle. The cheese curds are famous around these parts, and visitors have options of regular, bacon, hot pepper, and habanero. Swan’s also offers Amish goodies, local meats, and other Made in Oklahoma products.

WALKE BROTHERS MEAT COMPANY

Walke Brothers Meat Company has a wide variety of award-winning meat and sausage products. While Walke’s is well known for its custom meat processing, it also offers cases full of fresh meat, from chicken and pork to beef and bratwurst. Walke Brothers also carries an extensive line of sauces and seasonings sure to make every recipe a hit. Walke Brothers is located at 9815 E. 520 Rd. Closed Mondays.
