CLAREMORE HERITAGE TOUR

A great day trip for visitors as well as locals, the Heritage Tour features some of Claremore’s own, including the Will Rogers Museum, the J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum, the Claremore Museum of History (featuring the works of Lynn Riggs), and the John Bayless Belvidere Mansion. Each of these individuals helped create the Claremore we know today, and the Heritage Tour allows us to pay tribute to their life and legacy.

Take a trip back to Oklahoma’s past and discover the cowboys, Indians and oil barons who helped shape Claremore. This itinerary is packed full of northeastern Oklahoma’s finest examples of Oklahoma history, beginning in Claremore, home of the legendary American cowboy himself, Will Rogers. Then tour Tahlequah to learn about the Cherokee Heritage and Society, complete with a “taste of Cherokee” traditional meal.
